OUR BUILD PROCESS
Prepare Site and Foundation
Slab construction and wall forms are placed on top of footings and concrete is poured into these forms. Drain tile is installed and then the same steps as slab construction are follwed until the slab work is complete.
The floor systems, walls and roof systems are done in this stage. This is where your home really begins to take shape! Plywood and sheathing are applied to exterior walls and roof and windows and exterior doors are installed to prevent water coming in.
Rough Plumbing, Mechanical, Electrical and HVAC (MEP)
Once the shell is finished, siding and roofing can be installed. At the same time, we will begin to run pipes and wires for electrical and plumbing through the interior walls. ceilings and floors. Sewer lines, vents and water supply lines are installed.
Insulation plays a key role in creating a more comfortable, consistent indoor climate while significantly improving a home’s energy efficiency. MRP includes insulating the wall cavities, crawl spaces and spray foaming the roof, if necessary.
Drywall, Interior Fixtures and Start of Exterior Finishes
Drywall is hung and taped precisely so that the perfect wall products can be applied, such as primer and textures. Installment of exterior finishes such as brick, stucco, stone and siding are installed. During this phase, you will finalize your materials selections.
Interior Trim: Exterior Windows, Driveways and Walkways
Interior doors, baseboards, door casings, window sills, moldings, stair balusters and other decorative items are installed. Cabinets, vanities and fireplace mantels are installed. Walls get a finishing coat of paint. Generally, exterior walkways, patios, driveways are formed at this stage.
Hard Surface Flooring and Countertops
Your choice of flooring will determine this step, but typically, ceramic tile, vinyl and wood flooring are installed. Counter-tops are put in as well. Exterior finish grading is competed to ensure proper drainage away from the home and prepare the yard for landscaping.
Electrical Trims and Bathroom Fixtures
Light fixtures, outlets and switches are installed and the electrical panel is completed. HVAC equipment is installed and registration is completed. Sinks, toilets and faucet are put in place. MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) finishing occurs in this stage.
Mirrors, Shower Doors, Finish flooring and Landscaping
Mirrors, shower doors and carpeting are installed and final cleanup takes place. Trees, shrubs and grass are planted and other exterior landscaping completed. Walk-through's and inspections will happen at this stage, as well as any final touch-ups.
We will walk through your new home to acquaint you with its features and the operation of various systems and components, and to explain your responsibilities for maintenance and upkeep. We will also go over our warranty coverage and procedures.
